Corrosion Protection and Waterproofing (Moisture and Damp Tolerant) Systems

AW Environmental Solutions (AWES) would like to make you aware of advanced moisture protective coating systems carefully selected and developed for
Building Maintenance and Refurbishment applications.

A selection of these labour saving spray applied products includes

  • Polyurethane insulation foam (sprayed)
  • Instant cure seamless polyurea waterproofing membrane
  • Hot spray epoxy primers / damp proof membranes
  • Mio-epoxy, glass flake epoxy, vinyl ester coatings for resistance to chemicals in service

 

Coating System Benefits / Applications

 

  • Internal/external encapsulation, insulation and waterproofing of asbestos sheet roofs (also butyl, mineral felt, metal roofs).
  • Seamless, instant cure, spray applied protective systems for walls and floors which are damp tolerant meaning application rates are optimised (Food and Hygiene areas).
  • Products suitable for extreme chemical resistance providing secondary containment in bunded chemical storage areas/protection of plant room floors.
  • Advanced coating technology (at least one coat less than traditional multi-coat systems) suitable for long-term protection of steel in harsh environments (marine).
  • Moisture tolerant mio epoxy coatings complement steel preparation using UHP water blast techniques.
  • Solvent and styrene free coatings eliminating risks in “confined space” work areas, eg. lining of potable water tanks located in roof spaces.
  • Mio epoxy technology for new galvanised steel obviating the need to T wash.
  • Sprayed polyurethane foam improves U-value on single skin steel cladding / prevents condensation.
  • Protection of steel chimney stacks from corrosion when operating temperatures are high (up to 850c) and cyclical.

  • Polymer Resin Injection Waterproofing system for arrest of groundwater ingress in basements, lift pits, water-retaining structures (allows injection of dpms in historic masonry buildings).
